Space Factor Contest for PhD students

In a half-day session of the EANA 2017 workshop, around ten PhD students will get the opportunity to introduce themselves and their research to other PhD students and interested conference participants.

The student contest "Space Factor" gives young scientists a great forum to connect with other PhD students, to learn from them, to exchange thoughts, to gain new insights and ideas, and to establish new contacts and maybe even cooperation.

An interdisciplinary committee board will judge the contributions of all participating PhD students and several awards will be granted. The EANA president Prof. Dr. Frances Westall will solemnly present the winners of the awards during the EANA closing ceremony.

For the selection of participants of "The Space Factor" contest, interested PhD students from all fields covering space-related sciences should send an e-mail to before or on June 1st, 2017, with their abstract as submitted via the online form, a detailed CV, a publication record (peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings) and a short motivation letter, why the PhD student would like to participate in "The Space Factor" contest.
